From a Unique Background to BI Mastery

Chanci’s foray into the world of BI began in an unexpected domain. “I started off in the hospitality industry, where I was deeply involved in customer relations,” she shares. “This role required extensive reporting and performance analysis, which ignited my passion for data.”

This experience fueled her interest in data analysis, leading her to explore various BI tools and eventually discover QuickSight in 2021.

Championing QuickSight at Amazon IXD – VGT2

Now serving as Learning Manager at Amazon IXD – VGT2, Chanci is a pivotal advocate for QuickSight adoption, driving innovative solutions for complex data challenges. Her team is at the forefront of assisting clients in migrating to QuickSight, utilizing proprietary tools to streamline the process. Chanci approaches BI solutions with a pragmatic mindset, automating workflows to enhance efficiency. At Amazon IXD – VGT2, Chanci is eager to spearhead several QuickSight initiatives, including the development of a proprietary dashboard migration converter, exploring advanced features like scenario analysis and generative BI, implementing customer sentiment analysis using QuickSight and Amazon Bedrock, and creating custom visuals with Highcharts.

Chanci is also focused on optimizing natural language queries (NLQ) and AI-driven features for business users. She recognizes that the real power of tools like Amazon Q in QuickSight lies in how effectively users engage with them. “We aim to educate customers on phrasing their questions for better answers,” Chanci explains. By guiding users in crafting more effective queries, she ensures that businesses can derive meaningful insights from their data, bridging the gap between advanced AI functions and practical business applications.
